Rice With Pecans

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tbls

    Butter

  • 2/3 cup

    Onions

  • 3 tbls

    Pecans

  • 1 cup

    White rice, long-grain

  • 2 cup

    Canned Chicken Broth

  • 1/2 tsp

    Ground Basil

  • 1 dash

    Table Salt

  • 1 dash

    Black Pepper

DIRECTIONS

1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Add onions and pecans and saute until pecans are toasted, about 5 minutes.

2. Add rice. Stir in broth and basil.

3. Cover and cook until liquid is absorbed, about 20 minutes. Remove from heat.

4. Mix rice gently with a fork and season to taste with salt and pepper.
